With the application of heads in more and more fields, their processing methods have been continuously improved. The processing methods for heads are generally divided into integral forming and segmented forming. The main processing methods for integral forming include stamping and spinning, as well as rarely used explosive forming and gas (liquid) expansion forming. Split forming generally refers to split pressing and welding forming.
The overall forming of head can be divided into cold processing and hot working according to the processing temperature. According to the combination of processing method and temperature, it can be divided into hot spinning forming, hot stamping forming, cold spinning forming, cold stamping forming, and drum forming.
Generally speaking, standard series heads are generally formed by stamping, while non-standard series heads or heads with large diameters tend to be formed by spinning. Compared to stamping, spinning has the advantages of saving mold costs and allowing dimensions to be adjusted according to requirements.
