Features of tank head:
- 1.tank head is composed of half ellipsoid and a cylindrical straight segments. The Straight section can avoid mutation of radius of curvature between the connection welds of the head and cylinder, thus improving the stress status of the welds.
- 2.As The Meridian curvature change of ellipsoidal part of the tank head is smooth and continuous, the stress distribute uniformly.
- 3.Easy to punch forming compared with the hemispherical head, because the depth of ellipsoidal head is smaller than the hemispherical head.
