ASME Elliptical/Ellipsoidal Dished End/Head for Pressure Vessel
Since the depth of the elliptical head is between the hemispherical and the dish-shaped head, the requirements for stamping equipment and molds and the manufacturing difficulty are also between the two, that is, it is easier than the hemispherical head and more difficult than the dish-shaped head. In recent years, the use of spinning technology has brought convenience to the manufacture of large-diameter elliptical heads. Oval heads are widely used in medium and low pressure vessels due to their better overall performance.
Torispherical dish head is generally used for atmospheric tanks and vessels and for bulk heads or baffles inside horizontal tanks or tankers.
Torispherical dish head (also called tank heads, vessel head) is the end caps on a cylindrical shaped pressure vessel which is made with carbon steel, stainless steel and other alloy steel. The Pressure vessel head is cold processed or hot-formed, seamless and stress treated, these tank heads are widely used in industrial storage or pressure vessels such as storage tanks, heat exchangers, towers, reactors, boilers and separations equipment.
